General Information

Found on the Eastern region of Central America, Belize is nestled comfortably between Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. Much of the terrain in Belize is low and flat. This is especially the case in central areas and the regions or places located in the Northern part. You might be surprised, however, to find that some of the mountain ranges in Belize rise to a height of about 3,685 feet in height. In addition to mainland Belize, the country is also made up of a total of 200 smaller islands famously known as The Cayes. Along these islands, you will find the Belize Barrier Reef, which is considered the second largest reef in the world.

Weather

People who are living in Belize can expect two seasons: dry and rainy season. During the periods of June to November, you will experience a great deal of rainfall in the area. The temperature averages a comfortable 60 degrees during the "winter" months. The hottest part of the year spans from the middle of August to the middle of September. Most of the year, winds blow comfortably, even in the hottest part of the summer.

If you are a foreigner and want to purchase land or a home in Belize, you would have the same rights as the locals have. Due to the straightforward approach, purchasing a land on the beach side would be easy for you. Most of the purchases made fall under the Government Stamp Duty that is known as the Transfer Act.

With this act, a property that has the value of US$10,000 or less would have no transfer tax to pay. As a result, Belize Real Estate is gaining a major growth.  Livingand investing in Belize would be an excellent investmetn for most, as real estate values in the country are steadily on the rise.
